Aerotek Electrician Tech in Ruther Glen, Virginia

Electrician Technician

Job Description: We're looking for a skilled Electrician Tech to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible fo r installing basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans , specifications, codes, and industry standards. This includes running rigid pipe down to gear boxes, wiring 3-way switches, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, and performing interlock wiring. The role also involves diagnosing malfunctioning systems, directing and training workers, and reading contract drawings. Experience working with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up 480V is essential, as is the ability to install conduit, wireways, pull wiring/cables and terminating cables.

Work Environment: Manufacturing setting requiring hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety vest, and safety glasses. All personal protective equipment is provided except for steel-toed boots. Shifts run Monday through Thursday from 5:30am to 4pm, and Friday from 5:30am to 1:30pm, with potential for overtime.

Pay/Levels:

Carded Journeyman/Master: $28/hour for JM and $30/hour for Master

Non-carded/mechanic level: $26/hour

Apprentice: $20-$24/hour

For the Electrician roles - If someone goes permanent with MC Dean, they will have the opportunity to enroll in their apprentice program . This will be paid out of pocket by the employee (taken out of weekly paycheck). After 4 years when they receive their Journeyman card and successfully compete the program, MC Dean will pay them back for the cost of schooling.
