Schauenburg Systems Lamproom Administaror in Rustenburg, South Africa

Purpose of the job:To asist in providing quality services and safe operation of Lamproom equipment and tools for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector.

Lamproom Administrator responsibilities are:

Vision, Mission and Values

  • Comply with and actively promote the desired

Relationships

  • Ensure effective and mutually beneficial

relationships are developed and maintained

through effective contribution to and

communication with members of staff, supervisor

and customers

Planning

  • In consultation with the supervisor and other

appropriate members of staff, identify areas for

improvement within area of responsibility and

develops options for consideration including prioritising implementation issues.

  • Prioritise own day to day work activities in line with the needs of the Administration function.

Administration – Operational Activities

  • Continuously managing and controlling the

purchasing and deliveries of orders as per site

requirements.

  • Coordinating all site specific training requirements

  • Ensuring that all site equipment is on asset

register

  • • Accountable for the entire stock control function

as per site requirements.

  • Oversees that sufficient stock is available to meet

with customers demand. The required stationary

and tools are in stock as required by the service

technicians / Lamprooms.

  • Responsible for stock counts.

  • Manage and control all costs, expenses etc. which

affect the cash flow of the business e.g.

equipment, overtime, internal ordering

  • Ensure maintenance and service invoices are sent

to the relevant persons for authorization approval.

  • Ensure all POD's received are returned to

Rustenburg Branch in a timely manner.

  • • Provide support services for various staff including

typing, photocopying, binding, laminating, faxing

and filling documents.

  • Ensure all filing are kept up to date and accurate.

  • • Ensure all documentation that are sent to any

person internal and external are correct and done

in a professional manner.

  • Assist with quotes to customers.

  • • Answering telephones

  • Completion of required documentation, reports

and paperwork for the mine, customers, and

Supervisor.

  • Register of all pre-numbered documentation to be

maintained as per ISO requirements

  • Capture of field service reports (All product

definitions e.g. GDI, Safe-Lites, SCSR, PDS, special

equipment etc.)

  • Maintain housekeeping for areas within

responsibility

Support

  • Liaise with other Lamproom employees, and

customers on the site to assist in ensuring quality

and safety of work and that contractual obligations

are met

  • Liaise with visitors, clients, staff and others to

assist with general enquiries.

  • Keep supervisor updated of all unresolved and/or

potential problems that would negatively affect

the customer or our company.

  • Feedback on a regular basis to Supervisor

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate as appropriate in quality programs

implemented across the company.

  • Proactively identify and implement innovative

solutions to identified needs to enhance the

operational effectiveness of the Administrative

function

  • Generate ideas for growth and further

development of the company

Work, Health and Safety

  • Adhere to all customer safety regulations at all

times

  • Complies with and actively promotes Company

Health and Safety policies, practices and

procedures.

  • Ensure medical and inductions are valid.

  • Use of personal protective equipment.

  • Ensure all interactions within the community

portray the Company as a professional services

provider to mining sectors

  • Other duties that may be required from time to

time to allow the site administrator to perform in

the position for the good of the organisation.

Credentials / Knowledge required for the position

  • Matric

  • Office administration diploma / certificate will be an advantage;

  • At least 3 years' experience in an administration role

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft package).
