Responsibilities

As a backline prep Member, your personality and commitment to creating a delicious experience for everyone plus our amazing offerings equals the complete sandwich. The primary duties an Arby's crew member carries out include taking customer orders, preparing food made to order, and providing customer service. Team members must also clean the dining room, service counter, and kitchen stations. Depending on the shift, crew members may need to carry out opening or closing duties. An ideal crew member possesses a positive attitude, ability to work in a team, and a strong work ethic. A crew member should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and possess a desire for personal and professional growth.

  • You know the business and have at least six months of experience as a manager within a restaurant or retail

  • You are familiar with and have impressive examples of providing exceptional customer service and will uphold Company Core Values

  • You're humble and ready to learn about what makes us different

  • You're not afraid to jump in and help your team and lead them to the next level

  • Prepares and presents quality products at all times

  • Maintains a neat and clean work area

  • Maintains adequately stocked workstations; restocking stations as needed

  • Meets reasonable expectancies established by the Restaurant Operations Manual

  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Projects a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times in the restaurant

  • Attends special meetings as scheduled by the management team

  • Maintain a fast speed of service, especially during rush times

  • Assemble orders on trays or in bags depending on the type of order

  • Clean your station thoroughly before, during, and after each shift

  • Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints and make sure they leave satisfied

  • Follow all restaurant safety and security procedures

  • Be willing and able to be cross-trained for all restaurant duties

It is our policy to train Crew in as many skill areas as possible. You may not always be working in the same position. This makes your job more interesting to you as well as provides your manager with a well-trained crew, able to handle any work that needs to be done. This doesn't limit the things that you may be asked to do.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Machines, devices, tools, etc., are used in job performance and the conditions under which the job is accomplished. Minimum qualifications are needed to perform the essential job functions:

  • Stand for up to 8 hours

  • Able to lift 50 pounds

  • Use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists

  • Consistently carries products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 70 pounds.

  • Occasionally climbs ladders to the roof to check A/C exhaust fan

  • Consistently operates registers, calculator, Norand, Fastfax, mail, and product

  • Consistently handles product preparation

  • Consistently communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers

  • Consistently kneels to utilize proper lifting procedures and to open safely

  • Regularly lifts for product preparation, stocking, and inventory

  • Consistently pushes to open and close door to store and storage shed and office as well as cooler and freezers

  • Consistently reaches for product preparation serving customers and training

  • Consistently sees during all activities

  • Rarely sits during the preparation of reports and bank deposits

  • Frequently stands while serving customers and training

  • Frequently stoops to pick up supplies and trash

  • Consistently talks to employees, customers, suppliers, and company representatives
