Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Strategic Planner. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Responsible for establishing an overall facilities growth strategy to include analyzing labor markets and real estate conditions.

  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.

  • Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization..

  • Develop long-range objectives and strategic plans for a major division by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability.

  • Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and financial analysis.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience; 4 years with Masters; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Current Active DoD Secret Clearance, last adjudicated within the last six years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Northrop Grumman or government contracting/DoD facilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all stakeholders and SDS leadership.

  • Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction.

  • Excellent at written and oral communications.

  • Strong ability to establish, develop, and maintain interpersonal relationships.

Salary Range: $84,200 - $126,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
