Job Title: Welding Foreman

Job Description

Responsible for ensuring all deliveries are loaded properly and shipped in a timely manner to meet the project demands per daily production schedules. Accurate preparation of Bills of Lading for all loads to outside vendors and jobsites for Rowley location. Coordinate with Purchasing to fulfill shop orders to meet required dates on site. Coordinate the sequence of shipping itinerary and special delivery criteria with assigned CIC Project Manager. Coordinate trucking manpower (CIC and outside Drivers) on all deliveries while adhering to DOT code requirements and the trucking codes and restrictions of New England states and New York. Track the location of all CIC owned and leased trailers, ensuring annual inspections are current. Secure trucking permits for over-sized loads as required. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace. Paying between $35 - $50 an hour depending on experience.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to safely operate forklift, pallet jack, and two-wheel hand cart

  • Able to read erection, shop detail drawings, and Bills of Material

  • Comfortable with using technology in a paperless environment, including the use of administrative and production-related software programs

Soft Skills

  • Highly organized with solid critical thinking skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Months until converted to permanent.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rowley, Massachusetts.

Work Environment

Frequently in an enclosed, climate-controlled office and shop. Able to spend prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching. Frequently in an enclosed and well-ventilated environment with often extreme heat or cold conditions. Occasionally will be outdoors in all seasons. Time spent on job sites and in office in Rowley, with projects throughout NH and MA, some extending to RI.
