Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Semi-Conductors and Electric Component Manufacturing industry, located in Round Rock, Texas. The role will involve various responsibilities related to payroll processing, benefits administration, and customer service within the workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Handle multi-state payrolls with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
• Utilize sophisticated workforce management solutions for payroll processing, including Oracle, ADP Workforce Now, and Kronos/UKG Workforce Ready.
• Administer benefits for employees, staying updated on filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of customer credit applications and accounts.
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Utilize strong PC skills, particularly Excel, to prepare reports and reconcile payroll and benefits.
• Use critical analysis skills to identify and reconcile differences in payroll, benefits, or 401(k) reporting.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Handle highly sensitive and confidential material with discretion and tact.
• Demonstrate strong complex decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Requirements • Possesses at least 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the Semi-Conductors or Electric Component Manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for managing payroll data.
• Has experience with ADP - Financial Services for efficient payroll processing.
• Comfortable with using IBM AS/400 for various business applications.
• Has experience with Kronos Timekeeping System for accurate employee hours tracking.
• Familiar with 401k - RRSP Administration for managing employee benefits.
• Proficient in using About Time software for better project management.
• Has a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions, including payroll calculations, deductions, and tax computations.
• Has experience with Accounts Payable (AP) for managing company liabilities.
• Proficient in ADP - Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Has experience with Multistate Payroll, ensuring compliance with various state tax laws and regulations.
