Job Details Under the direction of the Front desk Supervisor, the Patient Account Representative is responsible to provide excellent customer service to patient. Check in patients: review patient demographics and insurance, collect patient copayments and past due balances. Prepare work for next day and reconcile completed work daily. The Arrhythmia Center is a high volume physician’s office. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Verifies accuracy of patient insurance and demographic information. Create patient account in ADS billing system Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information. Reconcile charges in a timely fashion Follow workflow and front desk policies and procedures Collect copayments and balances Responsible for providing medical records to follow-up team for chart review/audits Check eligibility using websites Scan charges in Onbase. Responsible for all duties are completed accurately, efficiently and timely. Responds to requests for information and telephone inquiries from patients, insurance carriers, and outside agencies in a courteous manner. Meets productivity standards Performs other related duties as requested POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Skills: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to handle more than one task at the same time. Ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers, patients, and co-workers Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Experience without of network billing is preferred Experience: Minimum one year front desk reception experience within a hospital/physician practice setting required; cardiology experience strongly preferred Salary Range USD $24.00 - USD $31.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
