Catholic Health Services Clinical Documentation Specialist ( RN ) in Roslyn, New York

Our prestigious hospital is currently seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist ( RN ) to play an integral role in medical record review and apply knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards and documentation guidelines ensuring overall completeness and quality of Clinical Documentation. Job Details Responsibilities will include: Chart review of inpatient medical records concurrently and retrospectively Promotes continuity and specificity of clinical documentation throughout the record Provides information/education as necessary to physicians and mid-level providers regarding ICD-10 CM/PCS Coding Rules and regulations Improve quality, completeness, and accuracy of Medical Record documentation in accordance with ICD-10-CM Official Coding Guidelines and AHIMA and ACDIS guidance for Clinical Documentation Improvement Requirements include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Valid NYS RN license Strong clinical knowledge with a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in acute hospital setting, critical care experience preferred Chart review skills with ICD-10-CM/PCS experience preferred CCDS certification or acquisition within 2 years of start date MS Office and EMR/EPIC preferred Flexibility, excellent teamwork, critical thinking skills, decision making and communication skills This is a hybrid position and does require on-site, in-person work at the hospital Salary Range USD $115,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
