Essel Journeyman Carpenter in Roseville, California

Family-owned, Roseville-based Commercial General Contractor is seeking a full time "hands on" Foreman / Carpenter. This is for a long-term employment opportunity.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in commercial construction, or related industry.

  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Skills related to commercial construction: understanding architectural & structural drawings specifically related to wood / metal stud framing, and concrete.

  • Standard work day of 8-hours, starting at 7am and working to 3:30pm doing physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. Overtime will be paid for hours that exceed weekly limits per labor law standards.

  • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

  • Lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis.

  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.

  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.

  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.

  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).

  • Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.

Employment Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance and good driving record required.

  • Reliable transportation to/from work is a necessity.

  • As a condition of employment, candidates must be comfortable submitting to pre-employment drug screening and background check.
