The Supply Chain Advisor leads moderately to highly complex projects to onboard suppliers and implement enhancements into SCE’s SAP Ariba and Fieldglass platforms. The Advisor collaborates with Operating Units (OU’s), Supply Management, Information Technology, and third-party vendors to develop strategies, identify operational requirements, design new processes, communicate with suppliers, and coordinates ongoing transactions and relationships. The Advisor also works within their team and the IT department to identify and problem-solve system issues in relation to procurement transactions and convey results and solutions to key stakeholders or end users.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Participates in, and leads, projects with internal and external customers to implement operational procurement strategies within eProcurement systems such as SAP Ariba and Fieldglass.

  • Performs ongoing reporting, analysis, and troubleshooting of operational eProcurement systems to ensure continuity of service.

  • Provides ongoing training and support to internal and external personnel.

  • Evaluates and implement improvements to eProcurement system in alignment with strategic and operational requirements.

  • Partners with Supply Management, Operating Units, and other key personnel to develop eProcurement strategies as part of the category strategy process.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The essentials

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience managing projects, contracts, programs, or consulting for eProcurement and/or other technology implementations.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience and knowledge of Supply Chain processes.

  • CPSM, CPCM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or related certification.

  • SAP Ariba/Fieldglass/ERP experience.

  • Experience and expertise with SAP Ariba’s eProcurement platform.

  • Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and engage in continuous learning.

  • Proficiency using PC software applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay ahead of relevant technology and innovation.

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
