Become an IT Solution Planning and Delivery Strategy Project Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. The Solution Planning and Delivery Group at SCE is responsible for Planning and Delivery of the most critical cutting-edge projects and programs which impacts the operations of our organization. In this department the Project Manager plays a key role in planning ahead and mapping dependencies of projects and programs to ensure our business values and outcomes are in line with Business Roadmaps. In this job, you will have your finger on the pulse of the latest technology trends across IT portfolios that would impact and shape our business. You will collaborate with the IT Operations, Enterprise Architecture, IT Digital Services team, Operational Finance, and various business groups across SCE to evolve our long-term technology roadmap. You will develop a strategic approach to SCE's technology partnerships and help manage those external relationships.

Technology Roadmap Thought Leadership
Develop Business Architecture Narratives combining Technology and Business roadmaps.
Manage or support technology engagement with industry and external R&D partnerships, memberships, funding sources, etc.
Lead technology assessments for potential opportunities and manage cross-functional technology initiatives in areas of strategic importance
Partner and collaborate with Growth & Innovation team in IT Solution Planning and Delivery to capture and share strategic insights, latest disruptions, and new technology adoption opportunities
Strategic Technology Projects
Help shape and update SCE's technology vision in alignment with business strategy of the projects in scope for the next five years.
Help prioritize key technology areas to fulfill future system needs and enable strategic objectives
Run Critical initiatives from Planning to Operational handover
Executive presence and able to prepare and present to executive stakeholders
Active contribution in preparing IT GRC workpapers and supporting artifacts for testimony
Integrated Technology Planning
In collaboration with MSP, support SCE business units on planning, integration, and implementation activities for various technology roadmaps to align with our long-term strategy
Help inform optimal applied R&D portfolio to support various technology-related roadmaps
Facilitate or participate in forums to inform management decisions and share learnings from company-wide technology activities
Qualifications
The essentials
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide projects or programs with long-term business implications and involving cross-functional teams / technical experts from multiple disciplines, with a focus in IT back-office technologies
The preferred
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related technical discipline
Experience with development of roadmaps, governance, and strategies for technology investment
Ability to understand and interpret technical standards, documents, and procedures
Experience communicating complex analyses and information to senior management
Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Being comfortable in an unstructured work environment and able to cut through uncertainty to proactively move ideas forward
Experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, or strategy/management consulting a plus

Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
