Become a HR Information Systems Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you will be part of the People Strategy, HR Ops and Governance team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). You will support HR’s journey to the Cloud, Digital Transformation and the overall optimization of SCE’s HR Technology solutions. You will play a key role in supporting HR technology applications and third-party interfaces and ensuring effective alignment of processes and technology with the broader HR Digital Transformation Strategies. You will provide consultative, as well as direct, support to HR leaders and subject matter experts on technology best practices, road maps, opportunities for automation and process improvement as well as technical compliance with existing plans and policies.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Develop code using Python for data clean up and repairing data for machine learning.

  • Transform raw data into valuable insights and easily accessible reports.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to make informed decisions and support business objectives.

  • Develop machine learning algorithms using Python that relate to HR People Operations data forecasting and create models that can predict HR metrics such as employee churn, absenteeism, and performance.

  • Communicate with HR stakeholders to identify their data needs and requirements, which include understanding their problems, goals, and constraints.

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in HR Technology and how it can be demonstrated at SCE.

  • Be available for any after-hours critical system outages and changes as needed.

The essentials

  • Seven or more years of experience designing, configuring, implementing, and managing machine and deep learning algorithms and HR analytics.

  • Five or more years of experience in Python.

  • AI/ML or similar certification.

The preferred

  • Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, artificial intelligence, statistics, mathematics, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms and their applications, including regression, classification, clustering, NLP, deep learning, and optimization.

  • Significant experience leveraging Large Language Models for HR

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content

  • Interpersonal communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of senior leadership.

  • Effective decision making, results delivery, and team building skills.

  • You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
