Chargemaster/Revenue Integrity Coordinator

Job Description:  Qualified applicant will assist the Revenue Cycle team with revenue integrity assignments related to revenue cycle and finance.   Job duties will include assisting with charge master maintenance, payment and adjustment analysis, revenue recognition, and any other duties as assigned. 

  • Acts as the facilitator of of all chargemaster additions, changes, or deletions

  • Participates in chargemaster (CDM) maintenance efforts including the addition of new charges, annual code updates, reviewing for accuracy, etc.

  • Reviews changes in pricing, CPT codes, HCPCS codes, and revenue codes for accuracy and compliance with all applicable charging and billing guidelines.

  • Updates chargemaster files for all chargemaster dependent applications including  tools used for patient estimates, chargemaster analysis tools, contract management tools, etc.

  • Conducts an annual pricing review and submits an annual plan for applicable pricing changes to revenue cycle leadership and executive leadership. 

  • Implements approved annual pricing changes within the chargemaster

  • Coordinates facility charge audit process

  • Audits and analyzes reimbursement to identify areas where reimbursement may be lower than expected.

  • Conducts routine quality control audits to identify charge capture issues; works with departmental leadership to institute corrective action. 

  • Collaborates with key constituents in different functional areas to create charge and billing reports that meet the organization's requirements and trains individual departments on how to properly generate such reports. 

  • Participates in projects that require adjustment to pricing strategies, mark-up strategies, aggregate rates, chargeable items, chargemasters, charge codes, and other related processes as necessary under the advisement of revenue cycle leadership.

  • Communicates changes in pricing, initiatives, the CDM, and charge codes to organizational staff to ensure full compliance and understanding. 

  • Works to ensure organization-wide consistency and standardization of the CDM, charge capture policies, and price-setting methodologies and procedures. 

  • Ensures pricing strategies, rates, and the CDM comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains knowledge of and adherence to code of conduct standards, confidentiality agreements, and Uintah Basin Healthcare's mission statement

  • All other duties as assigned

Education

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, healthcare management, or closely related field preferred

  • Applicants without a degree but with experience in a similar position may be considered

Ex perience

  • Previous experience in a healthcare business or clinical setting preferred
