Job Title: General Machinist (CNC and Manual)Department: ProductionReports To: Director of ManufacturingPosition Summary: Lead small group of machine shop employees operating CNC Haas Mill, Bridgeport Mill, Manual Lathe, tapping centers, etc. in accordance with production schedule in a sheet metal fabrication factory. Our mission is to create state-of-the-art laboratory environments by providing innovative products and solutions tailored to support emerging and changing scientific processes and technology.Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.2-5 years of CNC Operating experience (Mill/Lathe)2-5 years of manual machining experienceExperience in Mastercam for Milling is a plusStrong desire to learn on the jobStrong organizational, planning, and analytical skillsDeadline-driven and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work strategically as well as tacticallyReliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.Tasks / Responsibilities:Complete jobs needed daily, sequencing work to ensure the efficiency of the machine center according to the production schedule.Perform quality checks on own work and that of helpers to ensure rejects are minimized.Perform rework as needed to resolve design / production issues.Perform preventive maintenance per schedule on the CNC machines.Modify write new CNC Mill (Haas VF2 3-axis) programs as needed using Mastercam / G-Code on console.Interface daily with Quality to ensure that machine shop is producing quality parts in a highly efficient manner.Communicate to Supervisor when you need additional manpower or there is a lack of work in the department.Ensure labor tracking scans are properly completed.Assist in training.Ensure appropriate tooling availability on workstations.Manage and maintain cleanliness of work area.EEO STATEMENT:Lab Crafters, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
