Interim Controller

This role will lead the finance/accounting activities, planning and analysis for a facility or group of facilities in accordance with the US generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies and procedures as well as provide finance support to the facility managers, commercial managers, and area asset managers.

Description:
• Partner with the facility/area management in achieving business objectives
• Own the review of and ensure the timely reporting of financial statements that are in compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and SOX/internal controls
• Drive financial insight amongst the key operational and commercial contributors on the facility leadership team
• Perform operational statistical and metrics tracking, evaluate financial performance comparing actual results to plans while also making recommendations that drive organizational goals.
• Prepare variances explanations
• Perform routine data mining activities in order to understand the details amongst all revenues, expenses, profits, production statistics, and capex in order to effectively communicate results
• Responsible for ensuring monthly/quarterly financial forecasts, long term plans and annual budgets are prepared with direction from the Operational/Business Leadership teams and aim to achieve Company goals
• Maintain and perform comparative analysis of the long-term financials’ models
• Compile and analyze financial information necessary to complete the month-end accounting close including preparation, input, and validation of journal entries
• Interact with auditors and assist with the preparation and documentation to support both internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Necessary Skills:
Manufacturing| FP&A experience | General ledger experience | Financial reporting |
Core Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in finance / accounting
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented culture and with Client based sensitivities
• Ability to handle multiple assignments meeting strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to identify and resolve complex finance and accounting issues in addition to frequent financial analysis and preparations
