NY1497532 Journeyman Electrician/Lineman. Full time for Griffiss Utility Services Corporation in Rome, NY. Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm. Overtime as needed. Description: As a Journeyman Electrician / Lineman, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and upgrading overhead and underground electrical facilities (up to 15kV), and electrical distribution equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: * Receive and complete work orders. * Install and maintain underground distribution systems. * Install and maintain transformers and other equipment. * Maintain and repair overhead distribution systems. * Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical systems and equipment. * Inspecting jobs to ensure work areas are safe and clean. * Maintain accurate records regarding material and labor. * Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and material. * Select material and hardware for time and materials estimates. * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and wiring schematics. * Operate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures. * Able to work with minimal supervision. * Work outdoors in various types of weather conditions. * Available during off-hours.

Requirements: High School diploma. At least 5 years of experience. Valid New York State Driver's License. Physical exam and drug screening required.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00/hour. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401k.
