Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Cost Associate will be responsible for supporting the cost engineering team in analyzing, tracking and controlling production costs, as well as improving cost efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic cost analysis for new products and materials.• Create a detailed operation plan to create a part based upon customer input and engineering knowledge/inference• Work as a part of a team, communicate status and roadblocks effectively and quickly• Understand applicability of manufacturing processes to design intent• Understanding of core drivers of part cost; time, material, processing etc

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related, or Associates + Experience• 1-3 years of experience in cost engineering or a related field.• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.• Strong organizational and analytical skills.• Ability to work in a team environment.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Experience in Parametric 3D modeling software.• Ability to read a part print, i.e. Tolerances, dimensions, material specifications• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis.• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.• Strong attention to detail.• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
