IBM Data & Application Security Leader in Rome, Italy

Introduction

As the Italy Data & Application Security Consulting Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering world-class security consulting services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of experienced consultants, engaging with clients to understand their unique security challenges, and providing strategic guidance to ensure the highest level of data and application security.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the data and application security consulting practice. Collaborate with senior management to align consulting services with the overall business strategy.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of security consultants. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous professional development.

Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and security requirements. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on data and application security solutions.

Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of high-quality consulting services, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations. Drive innovation in methodologies and approaches to enhance service offerings.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to drive business development and ensure the successful delivery of consulting services.

Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in data and application security. Contribute to thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and industry participation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Education: Master's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least five years of experience in a leadership role within data and application security consulting. Proven track record of successfully leading consulting teams and delivering impactful security solutions.

  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of data protection, encryption, access controls, and application security. Familiarity with a variety of security tools and technologies.

  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Languages required: Italian, English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address complex security challenges.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Business Acumen: Proven ability to understand business needs and align security consulting services accordingly
