This position develops, implements, and maintains the company’s Machine and Process Controls program in accordance with maintenance and process management strategies and goals that maximize the profits to the company by improving efficiencies and cutting costs. Principle Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of safety and error proofing on all equipment.

  • Proactively assess all Process controls logic/programs and monitoring methods to ensure all applications are optimum.

  • Track Process performance and proactively analyze all alarms, faults to ensure equipment uptime.

  • Troubleshooting any faults in the system. 

  • Supervising the installation of PLC programs. 

  • Maintaining PLC programs.

  • Continuously assess repair tooling and equipment to assure excellent working condition to achieve maximum performance.

  • Develop & collaborate with equipment suppliers to ensure their program logic is in compliance with our needs and standards.

  • Upgrade systems as necessary.

  • Efficiently repairs machinery through careful planning, exceptional detail to execution, and crucial intention of the machinery running more efficiently and reliably than prior to repair needs.

  • Proactively assess all machinery to determine needs for repair prior to a breakdown occurring.

  • Collaborate with all areas of Operations and Warehouse to assure the best priority and course of action is taken.

  • Provides expert Technical Support.

  • Additional duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead.

Preferred/Required Education/Skills:

  • 2 Year College, Technical Certificate, or Trade School Degree.

  • Must have knowledge of programming Allen Bradley PLCs and hands on application of Rockwell Automation Factory Talk View Data Transaction software and related hardware.

  • Knowledge and clear understanding of application of PLC controls in hydraulics, pneumatics, power trains, metal forming, finishing equipment.

  • Experience in metal stamping and fabrication industry preferred.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, power trains, metal forming and finishing equipment, E-coat paint equipment and procedures, and metal fabrication equipment is required.

  • Specific skills include:  basic computer skills, good coaching and feedback skills, and excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).  

  • Willingness and ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.

  • Must be willing to submit to background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
