BREWER SCIENCE INC Manufacturing Technician in Rolla, Missouri

rewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Manufacturing Technician. This position will be located in Rolla/Vichy, MO.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is trained to produce specialty material products for the Semiconductor/Micro-electronics Industry to enhance the performance of high-technology products. They will execute specific procedures and comprehensive processes to support the manufacture of chemicals.

Responsibilities:

  • Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment
  • Perform tasks and comprehensive processes to manufacture intermediate and finished products. Interact with product workbooks and communicate any changes needed to Process Engineer or Supervisor.
  • Operating process related equipment such as pumps, compressors, and valves in a safe environmentally responsible manner. Using process control and process information systems to assess and optimize plant performance.
  • Monitoring process equipment and conditions including process levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates.
  • Collecting samples and performing field checks, adjusting control systems and manually operated equipment based on process and lab data
  • Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs yields, EHandS (Environmental, Health and Safety), production rates, etc.
  • Assemble, operate, and perform routine maintenance on fluid transfer and handling equipment such as pumps, tubing, and filters.
  • Aid in and prepare intermediate or finished product, synthesis, formulation, purification, bottling, labeling, and packaging.
  • Interpret test results on materials and products, and compare against specifications.
  • Observe materials and process behavior. Identify non-conformance and take action based on Control Plans or Material Review Board Disposition.
  • Participate in product or material failure analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as primary bottling technician.
  • Comply with cleanroom protocols, and perform general housekeeping tasks and clean-up procedures.

Education and Credentials:

  • At least a High School diploma/GED is required for this position, including three months of manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, required
  • A two-year Process Technology or other college credit and degree is preferred.
  • Chemical or petroleum plant knowledge and experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
