Systems Administrators are the heroes of the IT department. In the digital age, where technology permeates every facet of business operations, your role is more critical than ever. Tasked with upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, Systems Administrators are the cornerstone of any organization’s IT framework, ensuring optimized operational efficiency and security, and enabling the workforce to perform their duties effectively to increase productivity.

As a Systems Administrator, you rely on effective communication to alleviate any technical issues or discrepancies and provide vital solutions to ensure that all systems are running smoothly at optimal capacity and security to perform software updates and manage system configurations. Providing end-user support remains a key responsibility for the resolve of any technical or software operating issues and addressing any hardware malfunctions. You are responsible for the installation of new software applications and hardware components, upgrading existing ones, and ensuring compatibility and interoperability between systems. You will conduct regular vulnerability remediation by troubleshooting and diagnosing, applying patches, and updating security protocols, crucial for the protection of systems from threats and vulnerabilities. Your efforts will maintain the integrity and reliability of network infrastructure, minimize system downtime, ensure that team members retain a high level of productivity, and optimize system performance, all allowing for safer and more efficient working capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Public Trust Clearance

  • Associate’s Degree in CS or IT OR current equivalent IT Professional Certification OR a minimum of 2 years verified equivalent and relevant system administration experience (tier 1/Tier 2 level support)

  • Knowledge of networking principles

  • Ability to diagnose problems, organize and assess information, and implement a solution

  • Technical proficiencies in updating, resolving problems, and maintaining laptops and desktop computers

  • Hardware maintenance and installation

  • Interpersonal skills for clear, concise communication of technical language

    Desired:

  • PowerShell Scripting abilities
