MPP Maintenance Technician in Rockwood, Tennessee

Ability, skills and methods for the proper selection and safe use of basic shop, power, and hand tools. (eg: welders, oxyacetylene outfit, plasma outfit, pipe threader, grinders, drills; saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, chisels, hammers, ladders, etc.) Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make the necessary adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Responsible for installing power supply, conduit and wiring for currently installed equipment and machines including programmable controllers while adhering to blueprints, electrical ethics, utilizing voltage tester and hand tools. Welding experience (MIG and ARC) Must be able to operate ALL equipment in their areas of responsibility and fill in as required. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. And all electrical / maintenance request as needed.
