X Energy LLC Risk Manager in Rockville, Maryland

Position Description: X-energyis seeking experienced professionals to join our Project Controls team in the role ofRisk Manager.TheRisk Managerposition is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing X-energy's comprehensive risk management program, including assessing and identifying risks impacting safety, quality, project execution, and delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee the identification, communication, measurement, and management of enterprise-level and project-specific risks
  • Establishes tools, processes, and procedures for performing risk identification, evaluation, trigger events, handling, and monitoring and controlling actions
  • Works closely with risk management personnel and X-energy leadership to identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate or prevent potentially harmful activities/practices and to enable smart business decisions
  • Coordinates overlapping project risks with multiple teams or stakeholders
  • Engages customers in joint risk management during customer development and capture
  • Provides general risk management support to the Business Development organization as needed
  • Oversee and mentor staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
  • Actively support the safety culture and ensure integration of quality in licensing processes by complying with the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, business, finance, or related technical field is required
  • Ten plus years of project coordination/project management experience in nuclear industry. In lieu of this experience, 15 plus years of experience with the design, operation, or maintenance of power generation or industrial processes facilities is required
  • Formal training, certification, course work, or work experience in project management. (e.g., PMI-PMP, PMI-RMP, AACE certification, MBA, or MS Engineering Management)
  • Experience with risk management for large, complex projects including engineering, procurement and construction, licensing agreements, etc.
