BAE Systems Full Stack Developer II in ROCKVILLE, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems in Mechanicsburg, PA, is seeking an Application Developer / Web Developer who will be supporting Logistics programs for a Department of Navy customer. Primary responsibility will include participation in building large-scale web-based applications around logistics management system for the US Navy submarine program. Duties will include creating and maintaining ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.Net Core 6 using C#, and development and understanding of Database Objects creation (i.e. Stored Procedures and Packages). Additional duties include support for project planning and software engineering full life cycle management. The selected candidate will be part of a programming team, supporting the Logistic Data System (LDS), and will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree preferred and at least two years of related/relevant work experience as a Database Administrator and Full Stack Engineer. Associate degree and at least four years of related/relevant work experience or High School Diploma and at least six years of related/relevant work experience.

Additional skills/experience required:

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming

  • Expert Object Oriented Programming (preferably C# - ASP.NET Core 6)

  • Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

  • Experience writing unit tests

  • Strong understanding of Git commands

  • Strong relational database experience with object creation, data structures, packages and stored procedures (Prefer Oracle PL/SQL)

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern technologies and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Cloud Development (AWS / Azure)

  • Experience with Vue or React

  • .Net Framework Web Forms

  • Docker Containers

  • Agile scrum methodologies

  • Utilizing JSON Web Tokens (JWT)

  • Familiar with Postman API tests

  • Bootstrap

  • Knowledge Microsoft Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jira

  • Working knowledge of TOAD for Oracle

  • Web application security and vulnerability analysis

  • Cybersecurity certification (for example, Security )

  • DoD logistics experience

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database and application issues in a timely manner.

  • Perform database backups, disaster recovery, and data migrations as needed.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration and full stack development.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $116800

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
