BAE Systems Configuration Analyst in Rockville, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a highly qualified former Missile Technician to work in support of our major Department of Defense (DoD) contract with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). Candidates will be expected to work both independently and as a part of a team in an office environment, completing assigned tasking, providing insight and proposed solutions to complex problems. The selected candidate will:

  • Conduct system-level analyses on SSP Strategic Weapons System (SWS) equipment.

  • Provide technical analyses reports to customer and SSP community.

  • Track the lifecycle of Strategic System Program Alterations (SPALT).

  • Update and maintain data system in support of Configuration Management review processes.

  • Coordinate technical information data base submission from various contractors and Navy organizations.

  • Support the preparation of, maintain and recommend changes to SSP Configuration Management directives.

  • Identify, review, and manage SSP documentation and recommend changes/updates.

  • Ensure compliance with documented requirements.

  • Effectively communicate with contractor groups and SSP customer on the status of alterations.

  • Coordinate with government personnel and industry partners on the status of SSP SWS equipment.

  • Conduct training with industry partners on the capabilities and operation of SSP programs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: High School Diploma with at least eight years of related/relevant professional work experience.

  • CM certifications (NDIA CM certification or equivalent), and four or more years of CM experience OR knowledge of SWS Standard Operating Procedures/Principles of Operation concepts and documentation and of the SWS Trouble Failure Report Program

  • Experience with Microsoft Office application (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Associate's degree with 6 years of related professional work experience or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of related professional work experience

  • SSBN Missile Technician with TRIDENT II SWS deployed experience

  • Experience with TRIDENT II SWS/SWSSS preventive and corrective maintenance concepts and paper and electronic maintenance documentation

  • Experience with evaluating SSP Alterations (SPALTS), UK Alterations (UKALTs), and NAVSEA Alterations (TRIDs) for impacts to TRIDENT II SWS preventive and corrective maintenance paper and electronic maintenance documentation

  • Knowledge of the SWS SPALT Program

  • Knowledge of the COSAL or OS/AEL

  • Experience with Model Based Engineering

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
