The Katherine Thomas High School Program is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant. This position provides direct administrative support to the high school director and special education program.


  • Ensures that all incoming calls are received and directed to the appropriate person * Greets all visitors and monitors all sign in/out of students, parents and visitors* Maintains and updates records* Prepares reports and correspondence* Schedules substitutes for class coverage* Demonstrates proficiency in developing electronic resources for students

Requirements of the Administrative Assistant:

  • An Associate Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant administrative experience* Excellent human relations skills, problem solving skills and initiative * Program management abilities * Strong communication and writing abilities are essential * Attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a school setting* Excellent computer skills* Experience within a school setting preferred
