You will work in a unique environment rich in history and charm, providing essential support to maintain a safe, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities: Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks throughout the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces. HVAC Systems: Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure optimal performance and guest comfort. Troubleshoot and address any issues promptly to minimize downtime. Plumbing and Electrical: Conduct repairs and installations of plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, lighting, and appliances. Respond to guest requests and emergencies related to plumbing or electrical issues. Carpentry and Painting: Perform carpentry work such as repairing doors, windows, furniture, and cabinetry. Complete painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the hotel\'s interior and exterior surfaces. Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior grounds, including landscaping, gardens, walkways, and outdoor amenities. Ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests to enjoy. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment for guests and staff. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair hotel equipment, including kitchen appliances, laundry machines, elevators, and other mechanical systems. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory. Contractor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, renovations, or upgrades. Ensure vendors adhere to quality standards and comply with hotel policies and procedures. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any maintenance concerns or inquiries promptly and effectively. Uphold the hotel\'s reputation for exceptional service and hospitality. Job Qualifications Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in building maintenance or related field preferred. - Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or historic property setting. - Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact positively with guests, staff, and vendors. - Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions. - Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to respond to emergencies or accommodate maintenance schedules.
