Northwest Farm Credit Services Data Analyst in Rocklin, California

AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. AgWest is part of the 100+ year-old Farm Credit System - the leading provider of credit to American agriculture. We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Data Analyst I or Data Analyst II to join our Data Management department in Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the SVP Data Management and supports AgWest's data governance process, with an emphasis on data validation, data modeling, and data quality. Compensation Information The Base Salary for this position is: Level I: $60,000 - $91,000, depending on experience. Level II: $73,000 - $115,000, depending on experience. Position is eligible for an annual incentive program in addition to the base compensation. Job Requirements The Data Analyst performs a variety of functions including, but not limited to: Work with the SVP Data Management to support AgWest's data governance process. Work closely with other AgWest departments to identify and remove any data quality issues. Provide metrics to measure data accuracy along with reports outlining recurring quality issues as basis of training needs. Work with Enterprise Risk Management staff and external service providers to prioritize and deliver on data governance initiatives. Provide support for future business enablement initiatives including GIS, advanced data visualization, and predictive analytics. Enhance, modify, and maintain existing reporting library and build new reporting solutions. Utilize data to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness, then translate results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision making. Monitor existing data models and develop management level reports, analysis, and recommendations for enterprise risk management leadership. Conduct risk analyses, including efficient extraction, manipulation, and analysis of complex datasets. Analyze data and information in innovative ways to provided support for decisions and enhance process efficiencies. Note: This is not a remote role and will require on-site work at the Rocklin, California office. This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule after an initial training period. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree, preferably in information technology, computer science or related field (Relevant experience may be substituted for education). At least 5 years of progressive experience in data management. Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications and other related industry applications. Strong SQL skills, with detailed knowledge of DML and DDL techniques and best practices in one or more relational database platforms. Strong development skills in one or more C-family of languages: Python (preferred), C#, R, or Java. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), source control systems (Git, etc.), process flowcharts, Entity-Relationship diagrams, and data management environments. Knowledgeable of Azure environment for data projects, including one of the following: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, Databricks, SparkSQL, Jupyter, Anaconda. Effective decision-making skills as well as strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and team skills.
