Job Title: Product Specialist III - Microplate Reagents, OEM, Custom Conjugation (MOC)

Location: Eugene OR, Rockford IL, or Carlsbad CA

What will you do?

This Product Manager of the MOC portfolio will be instrumental in driving business to achieve revenue, margin and customer satisfaction objectives as well as developing the roadmap for the MOC business. The portfolio consists of 3 key strategic pillars; driving the custom conjugation business, leading the OEMin process, and portfolio management of plate reader-based reagents.

The key success metrics include revenue growth, profitability, and new product introductions. The Product Manager, MOC will be the technical lead and the point of contact for many cross-functional teams ensuring the growth and profitability of the portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product manager proactively drives the business and runs product life cycle and should handle the following:

  • Key initiatives fall into three buckets:

  • Portfolio management of Microplate Reader reagents (ie; enzyme and cell based whole well and homogeneous assays, ion channel indicators, etc). Drive key strategic instrument/reagent attachment campaigns.

  • Serve as the main contact for OEMin activities, own the PCP2.0 process to quickly on board new products across 3 portfolios (CAT, DLT, MOC )

  • Grow the custom antibody conjugation business by serving as the key point of contact for Product Management.

  • Develop multi-year product capabilities strategies and guide fiscal planning for future growth, positioning and evolution of products within the portfolio.

  • Serve as a key liaison between Product Management Team and internal functions responsible for developing, delivering and supporting our products including Marketing, R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Legal.

  • Perform market research, identify market trends, define customer needs and understand the customer journey to advise product line and go-to-market strategy.

  • Train commercial and technical service teams on our products and offerings as needed.

How will you get there?

Education:

  • BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent

  • MBA and/or Masters or Ph.D. in a science equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of product management or development experience required; with additional R&D or market development experience being advantageous.

  • Strong experience developing or working with Microplate Readers using related reagents (ie; ion channel indicators, HTRF assays, luminescence, enzyme assays, etc) a plus.

  • Able to establish relationships, influence others, and work efficiently with colleagues across multiple functions and locations.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and run multiple projects.

  • Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% both domestically and/or internationally, as the need arises.

  • Attend tradeshows, sales meetings, and other activities to support customers and revenue growth.
