Part time receptionistfor Faith based social service agency. The receptionist maintains a positive and welcoming environment for staff, interns, guests, volunteers and visitors. This candidate must be professional, detail oriented, able to multi task, computer proficient, comfortable working with homeless population, have good motivational skills and high energy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assistthe Director of Guest Services with the development and review of policies and procedures related to this position
  • Interactpositively, respectfully and compassionately to all persons entering the agency, especially the guests
  • Answerthe phone, direct calls appropriately, take messages and answer general questions about the agency
  • Filedocuments as needed
  • Distribute keys
  • Calland schedule devotion speakers
  • Updatedevotion calendar and contact list of speakers
  • Trackand record obituaries of deceased guests, guest suspensions, and haircuts
  • Transferand print intake photos
  • Distributemessages and mail to the guests.
  • Keepmonthly inventory of front office supplies and request orders when needed.
  • Order,pick up, and keep record of all bus tokens for guests
  • Notarizedocuments for the guests
  • Keeptrack of staff birthdays and anniversary dates; share the information each month of those celebrating their milestone.
  • Recordthe guests\' gratitude statements and share them with the staff
  • Posta Scripture verse on the board leading into the day room
  • Updatethe Daily Announcement board, i.e., dogs visiting, etc.
  • Attend staff meetings when directed to do so; exhibit team attitude
  • Beflexible to adjusting hours to make sure that the front desk is covered
  • Performother duties as assigned

Minimum requirements include a GED or High School diploma and 2 years office experience.
