Christ Church Regional Manager - CARE Center of NJ in Rockaway, New Jersey

REGIONAL MANAGER (FULL-TIME) The Regional Manager is a key position for the CARE Center of New Jersey. This role falls under our Family Support Services program, providing care for kids through a partnership with the CarePortal. This individual develops and maintains a network of child serving agencies as requesters, church and community responders, and Implementing Partners in their assigned county(ies). The Regional Manager’s primary focus is to facilitate training and support for church collaboration, agencies, and ministry partners in the region. This is done by developing and leading a CarePortal Team of community volunteers and church leaders, facilitating relationships within the CarePortal Network and monitoring the CarePortal platform to encourage and facilitate meaningful connections. The Regional Manager role brings much-needed support and care to local children and families in crisis in New Jersey. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Project & Team Management Compassionately serve the requesting agencies, local churches and community responders to coordinate a deeper network of collaboration and partnership around kids and families in crisis, by n urturing relationships within the CarePortal Network and leveraging the CarePortal platform Build, lead, coach and inspire a team to successfully convey empathy, a client-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering excellent service Spearhead timely and efficient handling of incoming requests from various requesting agencies Develop and implement effective communication strategies to simultaneously keep requesting agencies and community responders informed of request status and resolution Create strategies or initiatives aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability and scalability of meeting the needs of kids and families in crisis Approach every interaction with a positive and compassionate attitude, creating a welcoming and supportive experience Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess team performance Implement and adhere to best practices for inventory control, including proper labeling, organization, and storage, and routine audits Manage budget for training sessions, community events, and other initiatives that contribute to the success of the care for kids and families in crisis Establish a feedback loop to gather input from team members and stakeholders for continuous improvement Cross Network Training & Support Recruit, train, and equip churches to make meaningful connections through the CarePortal Network Identify, develop, and support volunteer Community Coordinators (approx. 1 Coordinator per 10 -12 active churches) Empower and coach each Coordinator to form Active Communities and plan, coordinate and host regular gatherings Cultivate relationships with community partners to provide resources to strengthen the network Identify, train and equip Connecting Churches to serve in areas of highest need Platform Training & Support Support Ambassadors as they work directly with churches to engage, empower, and equip church congregations Facilitate technology and process training for Ambassadors and Coordinators Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with implementers, Ambassadors, church and community partners Report issues and recommend enhancements to Area Director Agency Training & Support Identify potential Requesting Agencies and facilitate agency enrollment Ongoing training and support of agency staff and leadership Maintain positive, collaborative relationship with agency partners EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant field such as social work, psychology, community development, non-profit management, or a related discipline OR Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Previous experience working at a nonprofit, church, as a Project Manager, People/Relationship Manager, Social Worker and/or Child Welfare Worker managing cases and a diverse population preferred SKILLS REQUIRED Proficiency with technology, data analysis, and reporting, systems management (including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and others) Committed to personal application of Bible standards to remain steadfast in serving the needs of children and families in crisis Passionate & competent in engaging the community to care for children and families in crisis Mastery of strong communication and interpersonal skills; relationship building and maintenance Entrepreneurial spirit infused with cultural agility and commitment to bringing diverse audiences into the network Skilled facilitator of community gatherings and meetings Adept at conveying information and extending invitations to facilitate the expansion of networks Able to dedicate 35 hours/week (FT) in a flexible manner, working around meetings with the key players in the network Actively engaged in applying Bible principles and building their relationship with God Skilled verbal and written communicator with presenting and teaching ability Empathetic and patient demeanor with ability to handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism Willingness to learn and disciple others to serve vulnerable children and families with empathy and dignity AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the CARE Center of New Jersey is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
