Job Summary

One position available which may be filled as an Engineer I, Engineer II or Engineer III commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Engineer I:

Entry or developmental level position providing support of HMI development for well layout and supervisory content, releasing changes with appropriate approval from management. Investigates new technologies with the PLC/HMI environment to ensure operations and management are staying abreast of current technology features. Aids in support for new projects for facilities, where it is typically controlled from a PLC or RTU. Under direction of supervisor or work leader this role will contribute to the team to achieve deadlines, changes and operation, and for updating select based windows machines accordingly per ICS-CERT best practices.

Engineer II:

This role is responsible for HMI development for well layout and supervisory content and is fully accountable for releasing changes with appropriate approval from management. Fully accountable for investigating new technologies with the PLC/HMI environment to ensure operations and management are staying abreast of current technology features. Aids in support for new projects for facilities, where it is typically controlled from a PLC or RTU. This role is typically fully accountable for the deadline, changes and operation, and for updating select based windows machines accordingly per ICS-CERT best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Engineer I:

0-2+ years of PLC/HMI programming experience or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of programming in the PLC environment;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of maintaining and developing the HMI environment;

Basic knowledge and job specific application of applying security updated within the Windows environment;

Ability to be trained on programming RTU on particular sites, well sites, or production sites;

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data and draw conclusions:

Ability to process a variety of information quickly and make informed decisions based on data;

Ability to plan and organize work;

Ability to develop and give presentations;

Skill in modern electrical engineering.

Engineer II:

3+ years of PLC/HMI programming experience or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of programming in the PLC environment;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of maintaining and developing the HMI environment;

Basic knowledge and job specific application of applying security updated within the Windows environment;

Ability to be trained on programming RTU on particular sites, well sites, or production sites;

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data and draw conclusions;

Ability to process a variety of information quickly and make informed decisions based on data;

Ability to plan and organize work;

Ability to develop and give presentations;

Engineer III:

5+ years of PLC/HMI programming experience or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of programming in the PLC environment;

Knowledge of concepts and applications of maintaining and developing the HMI environment;

Basic knowledge and job specific application of applying security updated within the Windows environment;

Ability to be trained on programming RTU on particular sites, well sites, or production sites;

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data and draw conclusions;

Ability to process a variety of information quickly and make informed decisions based on data;

Ability to plan and organize work;

Ability to develop and give presentations;

Skill in modern electrical engineering.

Education Requirements

Required degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree):

Bachelor

Required discipline(s): Engineering degree in the Electrical discipline preferred

REQUIRED ENGINEERING CRITERIA: For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met: Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
