Coordinate production, setup and operate machinery, perform production activities and provide training as need to complete orders efficiently, meeting or exceeding production deadlines. Complete job method sheets to include safety, job layout, quality control, and process steps. Train, supervise, evaluate and discipline all designated staff in accordance with policies and procedures.Coordinate staff efforts to ensure ongoing worker training and accurate tracking of activities and progress.Participate in staffing and other pertinent meetings regarding individual workers served, following through with all recommendations.Provide direct supervision as needed as part of the DSP ratio. Work with Director to schedule staff and client training and production activities.Coordinate materials, equipment, and supplies by pricing and purchasing needed goods, performing preventative and ongoing maintenance on machines and equipment and maintaining an inventory system to ensure efficiency and security in the box making area.Complete time studies and bidding, monitoring each job to ensure costs and margins are covered.Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining positive communications, working closely with new customers, and ensuring quality work completed on time.Ensure complete record keeping of production for client workers and customers, completing regular reports and maintaining date for payroll, job costing, and billing.Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment and maintain safe work practices.Use equipment to safely move and/or deliver materials for production purposes, including but not limited to fork trucks, hand trucks, vans, and delivery trucks.Develop and implement procedures to track and maintain orders production, and quality.Assist in shop production as time allows and perform all other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required.Successful passing of pre-employment drug test; successful passing of random drug tests.Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate total project efforts.Supervisory experience preferred.Production and computer experience preferred.Mechanical and mathematical aptitude required.Current and valid driver's license. Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 6 months of hire.Strength and flexibility to perform production work. Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to stand/work on feet for 90% or more of the scheduled shift.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Satisfactory completion of fork truck certification prior to or within 60 days of employment.DSP certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 120 days of employment.
