About the Position: Serve as a Regional and/or Crisis Planner and technical logistics expert for the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) and develops program policy, monitors operations, and manages the Management Decision Evaluation Package for the LOGCAP. Responsibilities Evaluate Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) operations consisting of different types of contracting capability to support deployed forces during contingency operations. Develop organizational information criteria to measure the effectiveness of Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) functions and capabilities. Provide technical and operational guidance on program status, problem areas, operations resources, and training requirements to improve programs. Review logistics readiness sustainment reports to resolve problem areas. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Identify logistics requirements to perform qualitative analysis; evaluating program execution to identify ways to support deployed forces during contingency operations; conducting analysis on logistics support problems to enable sustainment readiness; and utilizing automated logistics readiness reporting systems to improve logistics and contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty. Position will be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. Employees on temporary appointments will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended. Permanent employees who accept temporary appointments will not have placement rights to the previously held permanent position at the end of the term appointment.
