Our technology is capable of producing highly complex micro parts to micron level accuracies, creating a revolution in personalised drug delivery and medical care. Our equipment is capable of producing highly complex semiconductor parts, enabling next level efficiencies in electronics manufacturing.

JOIN US as a Mechanical Design Engineer at our Rock Hill facility and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy. You will become an integral part of an applications-driven project team who will work to satisfy new customer enquiries, quickly, for proof of concept, product demonstration and limited run qualification trials. You will be responsible for the design of precision machine tool assemblies, systems, and associated applications tooling. This could include creation of detailed drawings, BOMs and assembly drawings. You will liaise with suppliers (internal and external) to ensure components are cost-effectively manufactured to meet design requirements. You will participate in applications testing, verification and inspection.

Requirements

We are looking for an engineer with skills and experience in creating 3D models, assemblies, exploded assemblies and 2D drawings using NX & Inventor CAD software. Knowledge of CAM processes and any interaction with non-conventional machining is a plus. You will have some experience of the design of tooling and fixturing, including the production of detailed drawings, BOMs and assembly drawings. You will be a degree-qualified mechanical engineer or have equivalent experience gained working in a mechanical design engineers’ role with a minimum 5 years’ professional experience.
