Speech Language Pathologist (FT, PT, or Per Diem)

Responsibilities: Evaluate levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty Identify treatment options Create and carry out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs Teach patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency Help individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language Work with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow Counsel individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders Continuing education (RHSC is an ASHA approved CEU provider) Multidisciplinary staff (SLPs, Audiologists, OT, PT, Special Educators, and Psychologist) Supportive supervision

Qualifications and Skills Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by ASHA (strong CF candidates will be considered) NYS license to practice Speech-Language Pathology (or CF) Certified Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled or Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped.
