DePaul Residential Front Desk Assistant in Rochester, New York

Overview

The DePaul Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA) Apartment Treatment Program is now hiring a Residential Front Desk Assistant. This position greets guests & residents and assists them to access staff or resource on site as needed. Provides critical organization, clerical and Resident assistance needed for the successful operation of a large program.

Responsibilities

  • Respects and maintains Residents’ rights and confidentiality and demonstrates a positive, caring attitude toward all Residents, staff, guests, and service providers.

  • Assist in performing clerical duties to aid in the effective and efficient operation of programs, including word documents needed, scheduling of conference or community rooms, assists with common space activities, events and set up or clean up as needed.

  • Responsible for entering data in Resident electronic records (AWARDS or alternative) related to medical appoint forms, and observations and significant events involving Residents. Participate in the process of Residents daily census.

  • Collects rent payments, provides receipts or balances as needed, updates rent records (Cash Management System or Alternative) and completes paperwork needed for automatic rent withdrawal for TAP residents.

  • Provide, under the direction of management, instruction / train and assist Residents’ daily living skills, assertiveness or socialization and document the interaction and progress in the Resident’s electronic record (AWARDS). Filing and organizing Resident charts as needed.

  • Set up transportation for Resident appointments and or provide safe transportation of Residents as needed. Provide Residents with reminders of upcoming appointments and Medical Appointment forms for medical and psychiatric appointments at the direction of the Supervisor.

  • Assist any resident, visitor, vendor, or staff with needs or concerns they may have by accessing appropriate people or items needed.

  • Observe all safety rules and regulations for self and others.

  • Attends staff meetings and trainings as required or requested.

  • Perform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the Treatment Apartment Program.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma with experience working in the human service field, business school training preferred. Must have the ability to interact in a positive manner with staff, residents, and guests.

Other: This position requires a clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy.
