QED Technologies International LLC Quality and Compliance Manager in Rochester, New York

•The Quality Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and improving QED’s quality systems while supporting trade and product safety compliance. In this role you will work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and customer service to promote continuous improvement of QED’s products and processes. Responsibilities include processes that assure quality at the time of manufacture and methods to promote customer satisfaction after product delivery. The Quality and Compliance Manager will support all QED business units (QED’s machine business and QED Optics).Supervisory Responsibilities•Hires, trains, and supervises quality control and assurance staff.•Oversees and executes departmental goals, daily workflow and schedules of the department.Key Responsibilities and Duties•Develops, implements, maintains, and manages processes and associated controlled documentation to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.•Define and execute machine and subassembly qualifications.•Manages QED’s Corrective Action Requests (CAR) process by collaborating with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with products and to implement required corrective action(s). oConducts or assists with performance and failure analysis of defective products or materials; identifies, recommends, or executes corrective actions. oDevelops and maintains a system to track and report quality problems and resolution status.oIdentifies root causes of problems, using data analysis, in the production process and recommends and/or implements corrective measures.•Implements audits throughout the supply chain, ensuring quality standards, safety, legal requirements, company policies, and specifications are met.•Work to develop supplier management strategies including preferred vendor list and incoming sampling plans following industry standard plans (e.g. ANSI)•Ensure that the company, employees, products and projects comply with all relevant regulations and specifications. This could include health and safety, environmental, legal or quality standards, as well as ethical policies. •Responsible for conducting periodic internal reviews to ensure compliance and direct internal investigations, assess products and develop risk management strategies to ensure compliance. •Perform other duties as assigned.Experience/Education/Skills•Ability to think creatively with strong attention to detail. •Highly driven and self-motivated.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.•Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to include use of analytical software.•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.•Lean Methodology, Six Sigma, ASQ experience preferred•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field is required.•Three to five years of quality management experience is required. •Travel•Travel, domestically or internationally (5-10%) is currently required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Minimum Salary: 83,000 Maximum Salary: 133,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
