CACI's Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Production Assembly Technician in Rochester, NY. This organization specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems. Successful candidates must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Build custom radio designs from subassemblies to products per engineering specifications

  • Work alongside operations team to manufacture custom radio products in support of customer deliveries

  • Verify quality standards and identify problems to contribute process improvements

  • Work as part of a team and collaborate to accomplish tasks

More About the Role:

  • Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, RF and Digital sub-assemblies, and end-products in a repetitive nature

  • Follow an engineering assembly process that may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts

  • Verify all material correctly aligns with engineering requirements for building production assemblies

  • Follow test procedures and record detailed test data

  • Use hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches

  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are within calibration and expiration dates

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • History of maintaining consistent quality and productivity levels

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and test procedures

  • Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements

  • Associates Degree with 3yrs of related experience is required, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and more years of experience

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. signal generators and power meters

  • Strong verbal communication skills.
