Genesee Regional Bank Post Closing Specialist in Rochester, New York

Salary Range: $23.25 -- $26.75PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for the timely delivery and sale of residential mortgage loans to the Bank’s investors, for monitoring the status of loans shipped to investors, resolving any post-closing issues within the required timeframes and the disposition of loans appropriately in the Bank’s loan origination system.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Monitor post-closing pipelines to ensure on-time file delivery to investor and the timely resolution of any suspense items. Work closely with Secondary department to ensure rate lock commitments are met.Perform pre-shipment file review and obtain any corrected documents, conditions, title policies and recorded security instruments needed. May require contact with borrower, processor, loan originator, attorney, etc.Complete post-closing functions including upload of loan data and documents to appropriate investor systems, MERS updates, and activation of mortgage insurance.Provide timely and accurate feedback on file quality review scorecards.Resolve investor suspense issues on loans prior to funding; escalate issues to investor representatives and bank management as needed. Appropriately document systems to track, identify, and address suspense issue trends.Handle shipment of all government loan types, including securing Government Insurance and the assembly of case binders upon request.Maintain strong knowledge of investor requirements and changes as they relate to loan sale, included but not limited to stacking order, documentation overlays and required timeframes for resolution of suspense issues.Assist with the collection and delivery of trailing documents to investors.Assist with investor follow up on disputable post close price adjustments and fees.Interface with Loan Originators, Underwriters, attorneys and other outside vendors.Utilize the bank’s loan origination system to advance loans through the process and maintain accurate and timely information on each loan.Assist Processing and Closing teams as needed.Demonstrate the behaviors outlined by the GRB Experience.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED (Associate’s degree highly preferred) and a minimum of 4 years residential mortgage experience including a minimum of 2 years in a post-closing, closing or QC role, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent understanding of mortgage closing documents.Strong knowledge of loan program, investor and Secondary Market guidelines. COMPETENCIES:Provide a remarkable client experience.
