STS Physical Security Specialist

Job Description:

Performs advanced application-level troubleshooting, programming, configuration, scripting, and service analysis for the Physical Security program. This position is high level and requires advanced working knowledge of computer systems, networking, and program specific user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform project and task assignments provided by team leads and/or team management

  • Apply all technical training received on specific systems to live environments managed by the team

  • Maintain systems as directed by team leads and/or team management

  • Generate various reports as requested by team leads and/or team management

  • Cooperate and work in tandem with other team members in a highly sensitive, critical infrastructure environment to facilitate completion of project schedules and tasks

  • Make all adjustments or changes to systems as directed by the team leads and/or team management

  • Ensure all activities meet or exceed corporate commitments as they are assigned to role and team

  • Develop and maintain a “One Team Approach” within a multiple integrator team that is centrally managed and operates within a highly sensitive critical infrastructure environment

  • Follow all Security Technical Services team policies and procedures

  • Engage in a planned program of professional development, coordinated goals and responsibilities, and maintain continued growth in professional skills and knowledge essential to the position.

  • Keep current with the latest technologies, support processes, and risk mitigation measures.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Configuring complex applications and logic-based ruling that assist in applying logic-based scheduling and device functionality.

  • Windows based platforms including desktop and server versions

  • VB scripting

  • Microsoft suite of applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to rapid project changes

  • Provide on call support for cortical production systems.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in computer science or combination of equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in similarly held position such as in providing technical support for software, networked devices

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other team members

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Experience in Symmetry Access Control, FLIR, AXIS, Milestone, Agent VI, Commend, and Guardian Shooter Detection a plus

  • Professional Certifications a plus

Pay Range

$65,000—$90,000 USD
