ARAMARK Nutrition Assistant - University of Rochester in Rochester, New York

Job Description

The Nutrition Assistant is responsible for the administrative functions within the department. This individual works with the Registered Dietitian/Health and Wellbeing Manager and campus team to support nutrition programming and services at the component.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $22.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an ?at-will position? and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Use the Culinary Operating System (COS) to Analyze Menu?s for all Campus Locations

  • Use COS information and Menu?s to create Recipes

  • Assistance with updating the Menu based on operational changes

  • Work with other members of the managing team as needed

  • Audit the back of the house for recipe compliance

  • Audit locations for NML (National Menu Labeling) compliance

  • Work as needed with New Media Website

  • Audit locations for accuracy of New Media and what is served

  • Manage and update the Health and Wellness Manager Meeting and Campus Event Calendar

  • Assist in the preparation of associate communications.

  • Assist in preparation for nutrition events and work the events as necessary (Tabling?s, Welcome Back Orientations, Wellness Fair, Associate Recognition Programs, etc.)

  • Maintain a professional image

Additional Job Functions

  • Assist in projects at all dining locations on campus

  • Fast paced and requires flexibility and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Good judgment regarding confidentiality and respect for sensitive materials

  • Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office

  • Good communication skills

  • Interest in human relations

  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more

  • 2 years work experience in an administrative field
