SUMMARY

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Cardiology, you play an important part in high quality nuclear medicine procedures needed to deliver quality care to our patients.

The Rochester Regional Sands-Constellation Heart Institute (SCHI) is recognized across Rochester and Western New York as a center of excellence in diagnosing, preventing, treating, and managing heart disease and conditions. With multiple accolades from U.S. News & World Report, and as one of the largest cardiac programs in New York State, SCHI has been named among the top 10% in the nation for cardiology services.

STATUS: Full Time and Part Time Opportunities Available

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Non-Invasive Cardiology

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8AM-4:30PM). No weekends/holidays.

ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist referred
  • NYS License in Nuclear Medicine
  • NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM)
  • Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills .
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensures that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam
  • Documentation. Maintains clear documentation within radiopharmacy information systems
EDUCATION:
  • BS: Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • NMT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $34.00 - $47.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
