We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our HR team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be challenged in your day to day and one where personal growth and your success is a shared priority!

This position will collaborate with the HR Manager to ensure the department functions at a high level of efficiency. Responsibilities will include a wide variety of HR functions including processing of payroll, maintaining electronic employee records, complete all updates, setups and changes in the HCM, Ceridian Dayforce.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately and timely processing of both weekly and biweekly payrolls

  • Maintains the HCM system, Ceridian Dayforce

  • Compiles payroll data for reporting purposes

  • Update employee records as needed or requested

  • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering polices and by helping resolve work-related problems.

  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.

  • Recruits, interviews, performs pre-employment checks, and recommends the ideal candidates for available positions.

  • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.

  • Assists with compliance reporting

  • Assists with preparing claims for PFL, FMLA, DBL, WC, and Unemployment.

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of an AS degree in Human Resources; or a relevant degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR or Payroll position.

  • Advanced computer skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Firm understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements

  • Advanced user of Ceridian Dayforce HCM or the ability to master it fairly quickly.

    According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $45,000 - $65,000 / year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

    Full time, in-office, M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
