Birchcrest Tree and Landscaping Inc Ground Operation Specialist in Rochester, New York

Birchcrest Tree and Landscape, Inc. is looking for year-round Landscape Crew with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the landscape industry.

Duties may include:

  • Plant installation and bed preparation

  • Hardscape installation

  • Operation of landscape maintenance and installation equipment

Requirements include:

  • Self-motivated individual able to work with seasonal pressure

  • Familiarity with plant installation and hardscape construction

  • Excellent work habits and organizational skills

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • CDL highly desirable but not required

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to wear necessary PPE

  • Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments

  • Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment

  • Clean driver's license

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test

  • Given the dangerous nature of the work required, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds

  • Gripping

  • Climbing

  • Balancing

  • Pulling and pushing
