Sunday - Thursday | 11am-10pm

Friday & Saturday | 11am-11pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Line Cook, you will strive to exceed our guests’ expectations and ensure their complete satisfaction with their experience at Genesee Brew House. You will prepare menu items and specials and assist with creation and development of new items. You will have the opportunity to explore your passion for the culinary arts and be creative! Candidates should be willing & able to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains proper food handling and safety procedures for all products in station

  • Prepares, produces and presents menu items

  • Coordinates selling of single out tickets from the station

  • Has thorough recipe and procedure knowledge for all items produced from station

  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set

  • Prepares and stocks needed product and supplies

  • Responsible for end of shift cleaning, breaking down and reducing of station

  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational procedures

  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station

  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Brew House Manager

  • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • 6+ months in a very high volume, fast-paced production environment

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills

  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures

  • Must obtain State mandated food safety certification
