Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the non-profit industry located in Rochester, New York. We are seeking a Front End Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing user-friendly web interfaces, collaborating with team members to improve user experience, and maintaining and improving our organization's web presence.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement user-friendly interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL

• Collaborate with team members to improve user experience and overall website functionality

• Maintain and improve the organization's web presence, ensuring all parts of the web site are functioning and updated

• Troubleshoot and fix bugs or issues with the website's front end, working closely with the back-end developers

• Test website features and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in web development

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

• Validate user input before submitting it to the back end

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. Requirements • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL

• Demonstrated experience in front-end development

• Familiarity with responsive design principles and techniques

• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions

• Ability to work collaboratively with designers and back-end developers

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance

• Experience with version control tools, such as Git

• Understanding of SEO principles

• Experience with testing and debugging in a web environment

• Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
