Description of Duties

This is a professional nursing position responsible for the development and implementation of an employee health services plan for employees, contractors, and volunteers. Duties involve administering and managing workers’ compensation claims and employee incident reports. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager - or other higher-level staff member. Does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus possession of a valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License and three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in professional nursing, six (6) months of which must have been in risk management, quality control, or health and safety management**.

**For the purposes of these minimum qualifications, experience in health and safety management is defined as responsibility for implementing procedures and/or practices that identify workplace hazards and reduce accidents.
