  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to enhance student engagement and promote the RIT student experience.

  • Stay informed about the latest technology and industry trends to drive innovation in digital marketing initiatives.

  • Lead the development and implementation of a social media content strategy for the Division of Student Affairs.

  • Serve as the program lead and community manager for the main RIT Student Life social media channels.

  • Ensure consistent representation of the divisional and university brand across various media and platforms.

  • Supervise, hire, and manage a team of student employees who develop social media content and serve as RIT student life brand ambassadors.

Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (communications, digital media, marketing, or related field)

  • 1-3 years of experience in a communications/multimedia/social media/marketing related position

Skills:

  • Ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies

  • Exceptional written communication skills, including writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Experience developing, implementing, and assessing social media strategies and tactics.

  • Basic creative skills for social media content development, including design, photography, and videography.

  • Ability to work in leadership, consultative, and collaborative roles with a variety of individuals (staff, faculty, and students), as well as departments and committees across disciplines

  • Project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities

  • Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization.

  • Conversational ASL skills
