Description

POSITION VISIONStrategically leverage Wright Beverage Distributing’s product portfolio to service key off premise accounts to grow our overall business.

QUANTIFIABLE POSITION OBJECTIVES1. Follow and maintain WBD retail standards.2. Adhere to WBD delivery schedule.

QUALITATIVE POSITION OBJECTIVES1. Understand the market drivers and the economic factors that will impact WBD’s business.2. Assist retailers in maximizing their beverage sales and profitability with WBD merchandising standards.3. Execute WBD sales and marketing strategies and objectives with current POS.4. Execute personal development initiatives as set forth by the Sales Manager.

PLANNING AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT1. Assist in determining the areas and factors in the market where WBD needs to improve to win long-term, sustainable market share while focusing daily on detailed, tactical execution.2. Work with Supervisor to establish specific objectives and expectations for each assigned route. Objectives should be reviewed at least once every month.3. Ensure the appropriate priorities are maintained as defined by the Sales Supervisor and any direction that is given by the sales representative.4. Identify trade opportunities and communicate to supervisor and sales representative.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS1. Uphold customer service philosophy and exemplify company standards while executing business activities.2. Strive to build and maintain a favorable reputation of the company to fulfill the vision of being the Preferred Beverage Wholesaler with our customers.3. Answer and satisfy customer concerns whenever possible to build positive business relationships.

MERCHANDSISING EXECUTION1. Ensure WBD product quality standards are maintained through the proper rotation of product.2. Develop a strong knowledge of Beer and NA products sold by WBD.3. Develop strong relationships with retailers/accounts.4. Address all customer concerns communicating issues and resolution to sales rep, supervisor, and sales manager.5. Actively participate in sales meetings and provide market feedback.6. Follow all WBD retail standards towards merchandising and display builds off-premise.7. Execute Quality Audits assigned by Sales Manager.8. Maintain/Recruit/Interview Full and Part Time Merchandisers9. Responsible for training of Full and Part Time Merchandisers to ensure they are adhering to WBD standards.10. Recap your weekly work with the sales manager.11. Provide coaching to merchandisers with areas of development and overall job performance.12. Responsible for 30/60/90 and onboarding checklists.13. Responsible for creating and communicating the merchandising daily routing assignments.14. Collaborate with the Supervisors on the weekly schedule.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED. Must be able to read, write and comprehend English and have basic math skills

  • Preferred: College Degree

  • Skills:

  • Minimum: Strong communication skills including verbal & written. Proficient in Microsoft office applications. Ability to work in a team environment at retail and with co-workers. Must maintain a professional attitude in all situations and always represent WBD in a professional and responsible manner.

  • Preferred: Superior communication skills. Strong math skills, creative initiative.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum: Previouse sales & merchandising experience.

  • Preferred: Experience in Spirit and/or Beverage industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to drive for short or long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONSExpected to represent brands across all Wright Beverage territories. Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts. Exposed to all weather conditions due to the amount of travel associated with position. Ability to drive to branch locations on a regular basis as required.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTSMust hold a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier with reliable transportation.
